The Big Sleep is a serial podcast hosted by Sophie Marie Niang. It explores various themes and social issues through an intersectional feminist lens, in a casual and (hopefully) accessible way. It aims to provide listeners with an introduction to those themes and loads of ressources to take their research further if they wish to do so!

Sophie Marie Niang is a Black feminist researcher whose work focuses on blackness in Europe, the concept of Afropeanity, and more generally the intersection of race, class and gender. She is currently a sociology student at Goldsmiths, as part of the Gender, Media and Culture MA. Aside from that, she is also a huge lover of food, music and sunshine. You can regularly find her words in Bad Form, a literary review by Black, Asian, and anyone else from a marginalised community.
